Lustycare, the purest anti-ageing treatments

Lustycare is the firm of anti-ageing treatments that was born with the intention of putting the purest seal of quality to the world of cosmetics. We want you to forget about age, we want it to be more than ever a number that does not identify you.

The way to do it? To create a family of anti-ageing products formulated with only the purest extracts of the highest quality natural raw materials.

We want to add all the power of nature to our skin in a very select way.

We are natural!

Our commitment is to treat the effects of skin ageing inside and out with products that find their source of power in nature.

That is why we opt for purely plant extracts, because in plants we can find everything we need to start the rejuvenating process. In addition, we choose to embrace vegetarianism and veganism, so that we can reach all our customers with every product.

At Lustycare we select the components of our formulas with the utmost care to achieve a truly effective anti-ageing treatment. Quality is our maxim, and you can see it for yourself in every formula.

Maurizio Battino — Biochemist

«One of the world's leading biochemists in anti-aging nutrition»

Lustycare is proud to have Prof. Maurizio Battino, recognised as one of the most influential researchers in history according to the most advanced information, software and training company in the market, Thomson Reuters, as one of the partners and one of the great references of the brand. Battino is Associate Professor of Biochemistry in the Department of Clinical Sciences at the Polytechnic University of Marche in Italy. He is also scientific director of the European University of the Atlantic and visiting professor at Jiangsu University of Chinac, director of Nutrition and Health Projects and FUNIBER Masters in Spain and Italy.

A graduate in Biological Sciences from the University of Bologna, he obtained his PhD in 1990 with the thesis "Ubiquinone: Model System and Comparative Studies" from the Italian Ministry of the University in Rome. In May 2001 the University of Ancona, made up of leading specialists, awarded him as the best researcher of the year for the high quality of his scientific production and in 2008 he was named Doctor Honoris Causa by the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Bucharest in Romania.

Battino's research interests began with his studies on the effects of virgin olive oil intake on mitochondrial functions and properties. This led to research and investigations of great scientific relevance. However, in an interview with the prestigious scientific journal International Journal of Molecular Sciences in 2016, the researcher stated that one of the people who pushed him into this scientific field were Professor Giorgio Lenaz, who introduced him to the world of bioenergetics and biochemistry at the University of Bologna in the early 1980s, and his Spanish mentor, Professor José Mataix, at the Institute of Food Technology in Granada.

With more than 35 years of experience in bioenergetics and food research, especially in natural antioxidants, he has been recognised as one of the most cited researchers by Clarivate Analytics. This recognition is reserved for only 0.1% of researchers worldwide and honours scientists who have published articles with an exceptional number of citations. In large part, this list recognises the most influential scientific minds in the world.

The researcher's publications in international scientific journals with a high impact and quality index, focused on the field of nutritional biochemistry and the properties of bioactive substances of plant origin with applications in the study of aging, cardiovascular diseases, obesity and cancer, are of great relevance. Special emphasis should be placed on the scientist's publications related to research in bioenergetics, biomembranes, antioxidant molecules and nutrition.

The results of studies in which Battino points out the cholesterol-lowering effects of certain varieties of strawberries produced at the experimental farm of the Polytechnic University of the Marche are worth mentioning. It is also worth recalling the great impact of the research into the anti-carcinogenic and anti-proliferative effects of Manuka honey, the famous Sardinian bitter honey, which was widely reported in some of the world's most important media, such as Le Figaro, the BBC and CNN.
